Travel hack for New England Summer locals ☀️
One of the best things I’ve done is treat my own state/area as if I’m a traveling tourist. Locals often miss out on popular tourist attractions because, well they live there! Why would they act like a tourist?
But I’ve found that as a local participating in what is usually considered tourism activities, you are sometimes offered a discount for being a local! So the cost becomes even more affordable! Plus, tourism activities are usually super fun! And you should take advantage of the benefits of where you live! It’s also a great way to support other locals and your community.
One of my favorite “tourist” activities I did last summer was book a sunset sailing tour and I already can’t wait to go again! If you start treating your hometown like the tourism industry does, you just might fall in love with the area all over again!
