How to avoid the crowds on the Positano beaches 🌊

Positano is probably one of the top summer travel destinations in the entire world and definitely one of the top destinations for Italy in the summer. Therefore the beaches can become CRAZY busy! I did my research before we traveled here for the first time to try and help avoid these crazy crowds + high prices… here’s the best advice I can share! ⬇️

Don’t go to the main beach located right at the bottom of the town of Positano, instead walk the stone path to the right of the beach if you’re facing the ocean towards and go to Fornillo Beach instead! Not only is it much less crowded, it’s also a lot cheaper to rent beach chairs for the day!

... Read morePositano is renowned for its stunning coastal views and vibrant atmosphere, but it can get incredibly crowded during the summer months. To enjoy a more tranquil experience, consider visiting Fornillo Beach instead of the main beach. Accessible via a picturesque stone path, this hidden gem not only offers fewer crowds but also more affordable beach chair rentals. Planning your visit early in the day can enhance your experience further. Early morning hours typically see fewer visitors, allowing you to relish the breathtaking scenery and take perfect photos without interruption. Additionally, avoid weekends and peak vacation periods if possible to escape the largest influx of tourists. Another secret to enjoying a less crowded beach day is to explore local tips from residents or frequent visitors. Many hidden beaches along the Amalfi Coast provide a quieter atmosphere where you can relax and unwind. Utilize local apps and travel forums or ask locals for suggestions on the best times and places to visit. Also, don't forget to pack essential items like water and snacks to enjoy a full day without the need to venture back into crowded areas for refreshments. By implementing these tips, you can savor the beauty of Positano in a more serene and enjoyable way.
