She is my first. And Child birth is not how it’s portrayed in movies and TV shows. My water broke at home it was the huge gush and puddle of water on the floor it was a slow leak until I’d sneeze or cough. I laid in for 21 hours at 3cm dilated. I wasn’t feeling any contractions. I finally hit 4cm and got up to go pee and I finally started feel contractions. I was 6cm and begging for the epidural. When I sat up to get, it moved her down and I had to lay back and push. 3 pushes later she was here. Shortly after she was here they had to take her from me because I had a postpartum hemorrhage and lost a substantial amount of blood.
It’s not all butterflies and rainbows at all. It’s painful, it’s blood and it’s gross honestly. But I got my biggest blessing out of it.
