2021 Ford Transit Van Conversion 🚐

Embarking on a van conversion journey is truly an adventure in itself, and for us, choosing the 2021 Ford Transit was a game-changer. When we first started dreaming up our VAN BUILD, we knew we wanted a reliable, spacious, and capable foundation for our future travels. The Transit truly delivered, especially the model with the High Roof and Extended length. This combination gives you so much more interior space to work with, making it feel less like a cramped vehicle and more like a cozy, functional home on wheels. One of the biggest decisions was opting for the All-wheel drive (AWD). Living in an area like the San Francisco Bay, but dreaming of exploring all sorts of terrains, AWD offers that extra peace of mind, knowing we can tackle anything from snowy mountain passes to muddy forest roads. It really expands where you can take your converted home. We also appreciated the power of the EcoBoost engine; it makes driving a fully loaded van feel surprisingly nimble. And honestly, the Carbon Grey exterior just looks sleek and understated, which was a nice bonus for our aesthetic preferences. When it came to actual conversion ideas, we spent countless hours browsing layouts. Our goal was to maximize living space while ensuring all the essentials were covered. We focused on a modular design initially, thinking about how each component – from the bed platform to the kitchen galley – would fit together like a puzzle.
