They each have such distinct features that are incredibly fun to exaggerate in a doodle. And let's not forget timeless figures like Spongebob Squarepants; his energetic poses next to his iconic pineapple house are always a joy to sketch out. Even a whimsical Minion or a complex floral arrangement can add a touch of personality and charm to your pages. The key is to start with basic shapes and then gradually add those delightful details that make each character recognizable. Where do I get my ideas? Honestly, everywhere! Sometimes it's a movie I just watched, a favorite cartoon, or even just observing the world around me. I try to keep a little mental 'idea bank' going, or quickly jot down words or concepts that spark my interest. Don't ever worry about making every single doodle a masterpiece. The primary purpose is to practice, explore different techniques, and simply enjoy the creative process. Experiment with various mediums too – simple pencil sketches are excellent for foundational work and quick ideas, but adding a splash of watercolor, even if it's just for backgrounds or subtle accents, can truly bring a new dimension and vibrant energy to your page.
