How I am Preparing for My Last Year Of Pre-Nursing

It can be SO OVERWHELMING when it comes to preparing yourself to get back into the school groove, I have found that having a list helps me break things down and move into the school semester(s) the best I can!

1.) DEEP Clean🫧🧽 Having a clean space is proven to help you perform better! I am not someone who DEEP cleans regularly but I do clean every Sunday. ☀️ Now when I deep clean, I am taking everything off every shelf and whipping out the steam cleaner🧖‍♀️ Having a clean space is the best way to start prepping for your semester.

2.) Clean Our Closet 👚👗 This goes along with deep cleaning! I hate being stressed in the morning because my closet is full of clothes I don’t wear! I have found I have a lot of clothes that I do not wear that take up a lot of space in my closet. I also need to make room for any clothes I might buy with my refund!

3.) Planning Consistent Breakfast and Lunches🍳🥪 If you are anything like me, you struggle with eating throughout the day no matter how hungry you are! If I do not plan what I am eating, I probably will not eat until dinner. So having a plan of what I am eating and packing for myself is amazing!

4.) Organize Computer and Desk🖥️ I do not have a lot of desk space, so I must use it wisely!! I organize my desktop and files the best I can with folders!

5.) Purchase and Organize Planner📒 I am a stationary girly!! I love myself a good planner, if my list looks good, I am tempted to make it look even better by crossing everything off🤭 I decorate my planner with stickers, washi tape and cute cardstock. Personal Planner.com is what I used to design my custom planner and I am so excited to get it!

6.) Set Up Schedules 📅 I combine all of my class assignment lists to create a master list to easily manage all of my assignments and due dates. I also line out scheduling for studying and personal time! It helps me stay on track and keep my sanity😭

7.) Transportation🚗 My fiancé and I are sharing a car with my dad so I will need to figure out how I am getting to my classes!

8.) Set Alarms ⏰ After finalizing my schedule and transportation it is time to set alarms, make sure my sleep schedule is on track and perfect my routines!🩷

Start by creating a dedicated study environment; research suggests that a tidy space improves concentration and productivity. This can include decluttering your desk and implementing a cleaning schedule, ensuring that distractions are minimized. Meal planning is another crucial aspect. To maintain energy levels, prepare healthy and balanced meals in advance. This helps in avoiding the last-minute rush of unhealthy eating habits. Consider batch cooking and using containers for easy access during busy school days. Moreover, utilize planners or digital organization tools to track your assignments and important deadlines. This not only aids in better time management but also reduces anxiety around due dates. A well-organized planner can become your best ally during this intensive year. Networking with fellow students can also enhance your educational experience. Join study groups or online forums that focus on nursing topics. Engaging with peers allows for sharing resources, study techniques, and support throughout your education. Finally, prioritize self-care. Balancing academics with personal time is crucial. Incorporate activities that promote relaxation, such as yoga or meditation, and ensure you set aside time for hobbies and socializing. This balance will help maintain your mental health and keep you focused as you prepare for the next steps in your nursing career.
