Tips for freshman me🩷
Here are some of the things I wish I could go back and tell myself.
Most importantly, the last one. I put sooo much pressure on myself to be perfect in school, perfect in finding friends, perfect in my fitness goals, etc. I wish I could just let her know I was proud of all her hard work.
Freshman year was the most amazing time and I miss it everyday!!
Entering college can be exhilarating yet overwhelming for many freshmen. The pressure to excel academically, establish friendships, and maintain personal goals can often feel insurmountable. It's crucial for new students to understand that it's normal to feel a mix of excitement and anxiety at this stage. Many upperclassmen recommend finding a balance between work and leisure. Participating in campus activities or joining clubs can provide opportunities to make friends and create lasting memories. Additionally, self-care is vital; students should allow themselves room for mistakes and growth during this transformative time. Remember, each person's journey is unique, and embracing imperfections is part of the college experience. Connecting with mentors or upperclassmen can further ease the transition, as they can share valuable insights and genuine experiences. Making the most of freshman year has a long-term impact on personal growth and success throughout your college years. Celebrate your achievements, however small, and don't hesitate to ask for help when needed. Knowing you're not alone can significantly ease the pressure and enhance your first-year experience!
