I think making your notes too cute is a mistake
I get it, I really do, but I started prioritizing getting the content over making it look good and I really noticed the difference. You can always go in AFTER class or a study session to make your notes prettier. But I really think you should never do this first.
While it’s tempting to make notes visually appealing, spending excessive time on decoration can detract from your primary goal: mastering the material. When studying, the quality of notes is paramount. Prioritizing comprehension over aesthetics allows you to absorb information more effectively. Instead of employing intricate designs, consider using colorful pens and highlighters to underline key points or organize information. This method saves time and retains focus on what truly matters—the content. It's also crucial to recognize that appealing notes don’t guarantee academic success. Understanding the subject matter and engaging actively with the content during lectures or study sessions is far more beneficial. Moreover, organize your notes logically. Use headings, bullet points, and clear structure to make it easier to review later. This approach not only helps retain information but also aids in quick revisions before exams. Remember, cute notes can be a reward for your hard work—once you've grasped the material, you can enhance the aesthetic aspect of your notes as a creative outlet. Students often find themselves feeling overwhelmed with the demands of keeping their notes 'cute' while neglecting the importance of actual study time. Balancing functionality and creativity can lead to better academic outcomes.
