the workload of grad school homework
The transition from undergrad to grad school is extremely difficult and the biggest reason is because the workload is so different and how that work is distributed is also very different.
I found that there’s a lot more flexibility typically because the assignments are usually a lot longer so you have longer to do them, but I’ve also found that there are a lot more challenging and also it’s really easy to get stuck and have no idea what to do for a long time.
For that reason, I think the way to be most successful is to start really early so that you have time to ask your professors peers and TA’s questions because you will need help on a lot of it .
So for me, the workload typically looked like roughly 10 hours of work per class per week, but that’s just an estimate because like I said it’s distributed differently.
