What even?!?!

I’m at a loose for where else to post this-maybe you guys have some answers! I am a HUGE thrifter. When I moved in with my fiancé neither of us had anything so I got 90% of my kitchen stuff at goodwill(it’s better vintage anyways am I right?) I got this beautiful set of three nesting bowls(a dream find honestly!) the two smaller ones are perfect for sour dough and the big one is perfect for popcorn.

But then… this happens. When I put it in the dishewasher(says dishwasher safe on the bottom!) (also only use dye/fragrance free seventh generation detergent) it… leaks? It leaks this gross, brown, soy sauce colored stickiness from the glaze. It doesn’t smell, and it isn’t leaking from the inside, only the outside.

My best guess is that it is just years of it sitting and marinating in greasy kitchens and never being washed with the heat of a dishwasher-or maybe Tabacco from a smoker home-but I’ve never seen a GLAZE leak!

Is it still safe to use? Should I keep putting it through the dishwasher and see if there is “an end?” (It’s done it about 5 times!) Or should I only wash by hand? Anyone experiance this? #thrift #kitchen #cleaning
