My art work
As far as I can remember probably after I learn how to pencil when I was younger, I always sketch or draw everything and anything I imagined or picture in my head or everything I ever felt and make it into art work and bring it to life. Drawing is fun but for me is part of who I am , it’s the thing that makes me feel calm and at peace. I never been one to follow the rules or draw inside the lines or put myself or my art work in box. I always gotten an idea in my hard and work hard to bring it to life in my art or sketch my emotions or how I deeply feel or think that day. I do call my art abstract but I don’t know if it is or not. Never put label or had word for it before. I don’t really sketch self portraits, I create up characters in my head and sketch them or sometimes I do anime ones. My art I know isn’t for everyone but I want more then anything to be real artist but also want to see my art on stickers and shirts someday maybe I will sale them myself I don’t know. But I know I want to start my own store on esty maybe, not now but soon or later. It’s always been my dream to inspiration others with my art. I always been different that’s why I guess my art is different in its own way, I guess I have my own style. My art helps me so much with my mental health too and it makes me truly endless happy. Someday I will open my own real store but will probably start small but for now I will share all my art work or things I created with everyone here. Guess you could say art is in my soul or blood probably. I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life. I have part time job but this is what I want to do someday full time and I always wanted to own my own small business and be my own boss, why not do it by doing something I love or enjoy doing. #sharemyart #artmakesmehappy #myartjourney #strugglingartist #dreams
It's so interesting when people ask, 'so like this?' about art. It makes me think about how everyone's artistic journey is truly their own. When I started creating, I often wondered if my work fit into a category, or if it 'looked like' what others were doing. But honestly, the beauty of art is that it's allowed to be exactly what it is – a reflection of your inner world. I've found that letting go of the need to fit in has allowed my unique style to flourish, whether it's an abstract sketch filled with swirling lines or a detailed character with expressive wavy hair. It's about letting those emotions flow onto the page, much like the colorful patterns I sometimes find in my heart-themed pieces. Sometimes, people might look at a character sketch and wonder, 'who does this look like?' and it's a great question! For me, many of my characters spring purely from my imagination. I love designing unique features, like distinct hair buns, or even playful fangs on a whimsical creature. While I'm inspired by anime and different art forms, my goal is always to create something truly original. It's not about replicating, but about taking those sparks of inspiration and molding them into something distinctly 'me.' I spend hours just sketching out different expressions and poses, trying to capture a feeling or a personality that hasn't quite existed before. It's a challenging but incredibly rewarding process that defines my creative voice. And for those wondering, 'what to add' to their own artistic practice or journey, I have a few thoughts from my own experience. Firstly, never stop experimenting. Don't be afraid to try new mediums or approaches, even if your comfort zone is just a pencil and paper. Secondly, embrace the process as a form of self-care. Like the original post mentioned, art can be incredibly therapeutic. When I'm feeling overwhelmed, picking up my palette and just letting my hands create can bring immense peace. It’s a powerful way to process emotions and find clarity. If you're dreaming of turning your passion into something more, like selling your artwork or opening a small shop, my advice is to start small but think big. What can you add to your portfolio today? Even a simple sketch of a new character or an abstract exploration of an emotion can be a step forward. Consider creating a dedicated space for your art, even if it's just a corner of a room, to foster a creative mindset. Start sharing your work online, gather feedback, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. My dream is to someday see my art on stickers and shirts, and I'm slowly building towards that. Every piece, every stroke, every new idea, adds to that dream. Remember, your art is a journey, and every step, no matter how small, is progress.
