The Pumpkin Spice Cafe (book 1) ☕
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice Level: 🌶️
My Thoughts: This was a cozy feel good, small town, fall themed love story with a little bit of mystery. I really like the main characters Jeanie and Logan and the mystery of the “haunted” cafe. It was an easy read with a good pace. I couldn’t wait to turn to the next page and keep reading. Gives a mixture of Halmark and Gilmore Girls vibes. It was a fun escape from reality!
The Cinnamon Bun Book Store (book 2) 📚
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
My Thoughts: Y’all! The spice was SPICING!
I definitely liked it a little bit more than PSC, but still love them both! I love the characters Noah and Hazel. They have an amazing chemistry and I think we all need a Noah of our own. He is thoughtful, caring, and though he isn’t perfect (no one is), he’s got a big heart. This one has a hint of drama, and TONNNNSSSS of spice (so if you’re into that, you may want to read this one). I love that Hazel learns a lot about herself by being with Noah, and I also like how Noah learns some things about himself from being with Hazel. This one has a little bit of mystery as well, which I appreciate. This book, to me, has a good balance of mystery, spice, and I enjoyed the other characters as well.
The Christmas Tree Farm (book 3) 🎄
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
My Thoughts: This one has a cozy Christmas vibe. I thought it was heartwarming and lighthearted. Not overly spicy, but spicy in all the right places. Love that this one has the dogs in it! This one has a little bit of mystery, and I love all of the characters and the small town vibes- town gossip, everybody knows everybody, and they are curious about the new girl in town, Kira.
The Strawberry Patch Pancake House (book 4) 🍓
Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️
My Thoughts: Archer is a chef/ MMC who moved to Dream Harbor when he found out he had a daughter. He becomes the lead chef at the diner/pancake House, and he's very frustrated with the town folk because he changed their simple pancake recipe into several fancy ones and they were NOT happy about it! He has to figure out what he's going to do before they make him lose his mind! Meanwhile, Archer is trying to navigate grief, trouble at work, and fatherhood, so he hires a live-in nanny and it doesn't take long for the sparks to fly on both ends. Now he has to navigate a new dilemma - LOVE...along with everything else! Does this story have a happy ending? You must read to find out!
The Gingerbread Bakery (book 5) 🫚🥖
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
My Review:
Okay, okay, we're back in Dream Harbor baby, and this time we get Mac & Annie's story!!!! I have been following this series since the beginning and I certainly won't stop until the end of this series! If you're looking for a cozy Autumn read, this is it! 🙌
I love the sense of community that the Author has created throughout this series. Dream Harbor really has become a very realistic small town that you find yourself getting swept up in. I really want to live there. lol
This place has an effect on them. They either came here sad, lonely, or lost until Dream Harbor worked it's magic ✨
This is a story of many kinds- enemies to lovers, second chance romance, slow burn, feel good small town vibes. It checks the box of many tropes. It is a layered story full of love, friendships, fun, charming characters, and heartfelt moments. 🥰
The Gingerbread Bakery is set in the run up to Jeanie and Logan's wedding day and a wedding in Dream Harbor means EVERYONE gets involved! Each person has their own job, including Annie & Mac, however it is during this time of forced time together that an old flame is rekindled. 🔥
It was very different from the other books in this series, while still remaining true to the genre of a small town romance. I particularly loved the back and forth between the past and present. It created a real sense of intrigue and mystery to Annie and Mac's past 👀 I was patiently waiting for more information as it was given to us in a slowww burn. ❤️🔥
Annie- the owner of the Gingerbread Bakery may sound like a sweet innocent young woman, but this girl is feisty! She has been broken before and she is NOT going to let that happen again! Will she get a second chance at romance? 💕
I absolutely loved the mystery of Annie's Nana going missing right before the wedding and then Annie and Mac had to go and find her. Nana was on a mission for the family heirloom that she absolutely HAD to have to give to Jeanie in time for her wedding! This part of the book was hysterical 🤣 you'll see! 😜
Overall, I really enjoyed this read! I'm already excited for Daisy's story...
