Happy 38th to me
Six months ago, I had no idea how much strength this year would require. There were doctor's appointments, tests, fear, uncertainty, and moments when I felt overwhelmed by it all. But this weekend, I'm celebrating something bigger than a birthday.
I'm celebrating healing.
After one of the hardest seasons of my life, I'm officially blood clot free. 🙏🏾
This journey reminded me that every day is a gift, that strength doesn't always look brave, and that God can carry us through seasons we never imagined we'd face.
So this year, I'm not just celebrating turning 38—I'm celebrating being here, being healed, and being given another chance to live fully.
Happy 38th to me. Here's to health, hope, and new beginnings. ❤️✨
Reflecting on my own experience with health challenges and recovery, I realize how important it is to cherish every moment and appreciate the journey, not just the destination. Dealing with blood clots can be incredibly daunting—not only physically but emotionally. The uncertainty of doctor's appointments and medical tests often creates a sense of vulnerability. But what helped me the most was focusing on small victories each day, whether it was an improvement in symptoms or simply finding moments of peace despite the fear. Support from loved ones, including family, friends, and even healthcare professionals, made a significant difference. Their encouragement reminded me that strength doesn’t always mean pushing through bravely; sometimes, it means allowing yourself to feel overwhelmed, then regroup and keep moving forward. Faith and gratitude played a huge role too, providing comfort during the hardest moments. For anyone facing similar health battles, I encourage you to celebrate progress—no matter how small—and to embrace each new day as a gift. Healing is often nonlinear, and patience with yourself is crucial. Remember, recovery can open doors to new perspectives, renewed hope, and deeper appreciation for life. As I mark this birthday, I’m not just turning 38; I’m celebrating renewed health, hope, and the opportunity to live fully once more.
