Your worth has never been measured by your mistakes, your paycheck, your relationship status, or other people’s opinions. You were created with purpose before anyone had the chance to doubt you.
Understanding your true worth is a journey that many of us grapple with, especially when external factors like job status, relationships, or social perception cloud our self-image. I’ve personally found that real self-worth comes from recognizing that these external measures don’t capture the full essence of who we are. For example, at different points in my life, setbacks or criticisms would make me question my value. However, by shifting my focus from these temporary markers to a deeper sense of purpose, I started appreciating my inherent worth. It helped me realize that mistakes are part of growth, not definitions of failure. Moreover, reflecting on the idea that you were created with purpose before anyone doubted you can be incredibly grounding. It highlights that your value is intrinsic, not conditional. Living by this belief encourages self-compassion and resilience. I also recommend practical steps like journaling daily affirmations or setting boundaries that honor your well-being. These actions reinforce your worth and help guard against negativity from outside sources. Ultimately, knowing your worth means embracing every part of yourself—strengths, flaws, and all—and allowing that understanding to guide your decisions and self-treatment.
