📍 Where I’m At Right Now

I’m a mom. A PhD student. A working woman. A wife/partner. A daughter. A friend.

And some days I wake up feeling like I can conquer everything.

And some days I wake up and wonder how I’m supposed to be all of these things at once.

The honest truth? I’m somewhere in the middle — and I’m learning that the middle is actually where all the growth happens. #momlife #workingmom #phdmom #toddlermom #momsofinstagram

... Read moreBeing a mom, a PhD student, and a working professional all at once is a unique challenge that many women face but rarely talk about in depth. From my own experience, there are days when it feels like you can conquer the world, fueled by determination and passion for each role you play. Yet, there are also moments of doubt when juggling responsibilities feels overwhelming, leaving you stuck somewhere between feeling invincible and questioning if you’re too stretched thin. What resonated deeply with me is the idea of being "stuck somewhere between 'I'm still young' and 'I'm too old for this.'" This perfectly captures that middle ground where growth truly happens. Embracing this in-between state means recognizing that it’s okay not to have everything perfectly balanced every day. Growth often comes from navigating these tensions, learning to prioritize without guilt, and accepting that every role you take on adds a valuable layer to your identity. In practice, creating realistic routines, asking for support from your partner, friends, or colleagues, and allowing yourself grace on the tougher days makes a big difference. The toddler tantrums, late-night study sessions, work deadlines, and personal relationships all compete for your attention, but accepting imperfection helps maintain mental health. Sharing stories like this can encourage others in #momlife, #workingmom, or #phdmom circles to feel less isolated. It’s important to remember that growth doesn't come from perfection but from persistence and self-compassion amid life’s complexities. If you're juggling similar roles, know that you’re not alone in the struggle or the victories. The middle ground is where transformation unfolds, and every day living it is progress.
