Gym Buddies
Here's my personal reasons why I have chosen to have no gym buddies and or why I don't go to the gym with my partner.
1. It's my alone time. I don't wanna have to keep taking my headphones out to talk or hear someone else.
2. I'm only in competition with myself. I don't need anyone keeping me motivated. I struggle with anxiety and depression and every time I'm in something I'm reminded why I'm here to begin with.
3.I hate waiting for a machine. I don't wanna take a break and wait for someone to get done using it. It already pisses me off to the core when there's a machine I wanna use and the person on it is taking really long breaks or just sitting there and socializing with other people.
4. I don't have a set schedule so I just go when I can. I need to be able to do it on my time.
5. I have medical issues and work on my feet all day so sometimes I just don't feel like it. Most of the time it's a safety thing. I wanna get stronger not hurt myself because if I do that it gets in my way of process.
6. I refuse to go during busy times. Reasons are in number 3.

Working out alone has become a popular trend among fitness enthusiasts for various reasons. For many, it’s about carving out personal time free from distractions. An increasing number of people report that they find solace in solo workouts as it allows for a deeper connection with their fitness goals. Choosing when to exercise and avoiding busy gym hours can lead not only to a more enjoyable experience but also to greater progress in strength and endurance. Additionally, it’s common for individuals to feel pressure when working out with others, especially if they are not at the same fitness level. Gym anxiety can hinder performance, making solo workouts preferable for those who struggle with these feelings. By focusing on personal goals rather than competing or comparing with others, individuals can cultivate a more positive and productive workout environment. Moreover, many gyms offer classes or social events, but for some, these settings can feel overwhelming. Choosing to work out independently lets individuals set their own pace, listen to their favorite music, and create a custom workout routine that fits their physical condition. This flexibility is particularly important for those managing health issues or busy schedules, further emphasizing the appeal of solo gym time.
