confessions of a first-time ticket warrior?

I never thought buying concert tickets could feel like a sport.

My very first BLACKPINK ticket queueing experience had me staring at a loading bar for over an hour, watching my queue number sit so far away it felt hopeless. At one point, desperation kicked in and we even joined a scalpers’ group — scrolling through endless WTS (Want To Sell) posts like it was the stock market.

But behind all the drama and laughter, there’s a more personal side too.

I’ve always had this irrational concert anxiety — what if I’m too old? What if everyone else is younger? What if I don’t fit in?

Then it hit me: concerts aren’t about age, or whether you “belong” in the crowd. They’re about the music, the joy, and the thrill of seeing your favourite artists — the ones you grew up with — performing right in front of your eyes. It’s about you having fun, in your own way.

So here I am, still inching toward that ticket entry, heart racing like I’m already at the concert gates. Will I get through? That’s the cliffhanger. 👀🎟️

But either way, I’ve already learned something: concerts are about moments, not numbers. And this is one I’ll never forget.

Oh! And if you’re a seasoned concert goers (or if you’ve gone to a concert more than once LOL), please share some tips w me 🥺

Joining these fan-run groups gave me a surprising look into how many are willing to trade and sell in order to get their spot. One thing I learned is the importance of speed and preparation — making sure your account details, such as your registered mobile number, are completely up to date can save you precious minutes once it’s your turn. For those of us new to this, the stress can really build up while staring at a long queue number. I often wondered how seasoned concertgoers manage this — patience, persistence, and knowing ticket release schedules help. Also, having backup plans, like knowing when presales are or using official resale platforms, can increase your chances. Personally, the mix of excitement and nerves made the entire process unforgettable. If you’re like me, don’t let worries about fitting in or age get in the way of the experience. The real thrill is sharing those moments with your favorite artists live — no matter what. If anyone has tips on how to better navigate these ticket queues or avoid scams, please share! This journey goes beyond just the ticket; it’s about being part of a community and making lifelong memories.
