Turning myself into Angie from shark tale
What makeup look should I do next? #sharktale #funmakeup
So, you saw my quick post about my latest character project, and let me tell you, the journey of turning myself into Angie from Shark Tale was an absolute blast! I've always had a soft spot for Angie – she's smart, loyal, and has such a distinctive look, especially for a fish! For anyone else out there thinking about channeling their inner Angie, I wanted to share some of my thoughts and tips on bringing this beloved character to life, whether it's through makeup or a full costume. First off, the eyes! Angie has those wonderfully large, expressive eyes that convey so much personality. To recreate that wide-eyed, slightly innocent yet knowing gaze, I focused a lot on using lighter shades. I layered a mix of soft blue and white eyeshadows across my lids and inner corners to really open up the eye area. Then, a subtle black liquid liner was key to defining the lash line without making it too harsh. And of course, a good volumizing mascara (or even some natural-looking falsies) makes those lashes pop! Her 'skin' tone, being a pink fish, was a fun challenge – I opted for a peachy-pink blush draped across my cheeks, temples, and even a touch on my nose to give that vibrant, aquatic glow. Next up, the lips. Angie has a very natural, slightly full lip. I went for a rosy-nude lipstick, keeping it soft but defined with a hint of gloss in the center to mimic that underwater wet look. The trick is to make it look effortless, as if she naturally has perfectly plump lips. And let's not forget that iconic underwater shimmer! While I didn't paint individual scales, I used a shimmery, iridescent highlighter on the high points of my face – cheekbones, brow bone, and cupid's bow – to give that subtle, reflective quality. It really helped pull the whole look together and made it come alive under the light! Beyond just the makeup, thinking about Angie's overall vibe is crucial. She's Oscar's best friend and a kind-hearted soul, but also possesses a strong sense of self and a caring nature. If you're planning a full 'Angie from Shark Tale costume,' consider her classic slightly-pinkish body, maybe a cute pearl necklace, or even a mini version of the clam shell she works in! I've seen some amazing fanart online that truly captures her essence, from detailed portraits to creative interpretations of her world. It's always inspiring to see how others interpret her unique charm! This transformation wasn't just about applying makeup; it was about stepping into a character I adored from my childhood. It brought back so many cherished memories of watching Shark Tale! I think that's why these character makeovers are so much fun – they let you revisit beloved stories and show your appreciation in a creative and personal way. It was an absolute joy to immerse myself in the world of Shark Tale for a bit. What do you think of my Angie look? And seriously, I'm already brainstorming my next character. Do you have a favorite animated character you'd love to see brought to life with makeup? Or maybe a challenging cosplay idea? Let me know in the comments – I'm always looking for new inspiration!
