I have so much anxiety even thinking about waiting. I don’t want too. We are still fundraising for the auction horses and I won’t stop until we make it.
WE HAVE TO MAKE IT.
In the mean time they wait. It’s not fair.
They were used as brood mares for a ranch and were sold to the kill pen when they weren’t viable moms anymore. I didn’t know that meant a death sentence? If I were a horse I guess that’s where I’d be headed also then. Mexico. Not worth anyone to ‘them’ anymore.
Luckily WE are not THEM. We see value in them. In seeing them for them — in their entirety.
We will fundraise for them two at a time.
If the time runs out— atleast we know we tried.

Waiting for rescue can be an agonizing experience not only for the horses but also for those of us who care deeply about their fate. These two mares, once valued as breeding animals on a ranch, now face the heartbreaking threat of slaughter simply because they were deemed no longer viable mothers. It's a cruel reality that many horses sold at auction endure, especially when their worth is measured only in terms of economic productivity. I’ve personally witnessed how these exquisite mustangs, often overlooked and cast aside, possess a profound spirit and resilience. They deserve much more than to be sent to a kill pen in Mexico or anywhere else. The phrase "These 2 girls don't deserve to ship to slaughter" resonates powerfully because it highlights the innocence and unjust fate of these creatures. Fundraising for their rescue is a race against time. Every dollar raised can be the difference between life and death. Organizations committed to saving these horses often operate with limited resources, focusing on saving them two at a time to maximize impact. From my experience volunteering in similar efforts, every contribution not only provides immediate care—such as veterinary attention, shelter, and food—but also fuels hopes of rehabilitation and finding loving forever homes. What’s even more touching is the transformation these mares undergo; from frightened and neglected, they become symbols of hope and resilience. For anyone moved by their story, sharing their journey and contributing to fundraisers can be a meaningful way to make a difference. It's not just about saving horses; it’s about standing up against a system that commodifies life and offering compassion when it’s needed most. The link in bio is a gateway to participate in this crucial mission—where every effort counts. Let’s unite to ensure that these beautiful mustangs are valued truly for who they are, not just what they can produce.
