She’s a number to them. She is SAGE to me. To me, she’s my determination. I will not, with your help, let her ship tomorrow. I mean look at HER. Really look at her. She is so defeated. Her face is sun burned. She has a nasty gash above her eye. If this was your friend or someone in your family or a dog, or your dog, you’d do everything to help them. Well, this is me trying to do everything I can to help her!
Her fundraiser is to save her, her quarantine, transport, vetting, farrier work, dental, vaccinations, feed for up to six months, assessment when she is ready, all of it. She needs us!

When you truly look into the eyes of an animal in need, like Sage, it’s impossible not to feel a deep connection and urgency to help. Mustangs face incredible challenges in the wild and often suffer from neglect or injury before rescue efforts begin. I remember when I first got involved with mustang rescue; it was the empathy sparked by seeing their beaten condition and sunburned faces that moved me to act. Supporting a mustang like Sage goes beyond just a monetary donation — it’s about giving hope and a new lease on life. The fundraising covers essential steps such as quarantine to ensure she's free from disease, transport to a safe facility, thorough veterinary care including dental and farrier services, and even vaccinations to protect her health. These are critical for her successful rehabilitation. In my experience, farrier care makes a huge difference because many wild horses arrive with damaged or overgrown hooves. Combined with proper nutrition and dental work, these treatments help them regain strength and comfort. Feeding her for up to six months is necessary as she recovers and adapts. I encourage anyone reading this to imagine how they would feel if a loved one, be it family, friend, or pet, was in Sage’s condition. That compassion is the bridge to action. Sharing her story on social platforms and donating what you can, no matter the size, creates a community of support that can truly save a life. Let’s stand together and give Sage the future she deserves.
