He needs help NOW.
This baby needs to get to the vet ASAP and be seen and treated for colic. He is one of the casualties of the auction yesterday having been bought by the Kill Pen. He’s colicing.
I don’t know where his mother is or if he even has one here. I don’t even know where this baby came from.
What I do know is that he’s not doing well and he needs emergency vet care if he stands a chance to survive. I don’t know how much this is going to cost. I don’t know what the outcome of this is going to be.
What I do know is that shimmer cost $31,000. Baby Charlie cost just over $20,000. On average to save a baby it is always around $8-15,000.
Unfortunately, the reality is that these babies take a lot when they have been through a lot and when their lives are fully compromised. I don’t even know where to set this fundraiser so I’m just going to throw it out there and if you feel like donating to help, please help.
As I have updates, I will put them in the stories and if something were to happen and this little guy doesn’t make it I will update everyone and those funds will go directly towards helping us with what we are trying to accomplish today.
Please don’t take this fundraiser lightly this baby’s life depends on us coming together NOW!
When it comes to saving a mustang foal suffering from colic, time is truly of the essence. Having been recently purchased from an auction where many horses face uncertain fates, this baby is in desperate need of emergency veterinary care. From personal experience volunteering with mustang rescue groups, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly colic can deteriorate a foal’s health if left untreated. Colic, a severe abdominal pain, is dangerous because it can escalate rapidly and requires skilled veterinary intervention involving medications, fluids, and sometimes surgery. The cost to treat these vulnerable foals often ranges between $8,000 and $15,000, depending on the severity, which can be a daunting sum for rescue organizations. However, every dollar raised directly contributes to giving these babies a fighting chance to survive and thrive. The emotional toll of watching these young horses struggle is profound, especially when their early lives have been marked by trauma and loss, such as the unknown whereabouts of their mothers or previous neglect. Fundraisers like this are vital to pooling community support quickly enough to make a real difference. If you’re considering donating, your generosity not only helps cover the immediate medical expenses but also supports ongoing care and rehabilitation for rescued mustangs. Updates shared through social media stories often highlight the progress of these foals, keeping contributors connected to their impact. Joining this compassionate effort means standing up for the voiceless and showing a collective commitment to preserving the lives of wild horses. No contribution is too small; every bit adds up to save precious lives. Please act now and help bring this little guy the urgent care he desperately needs.
