We are vetting every placement carefully to ensure they land in real homes or with real rescues… not in the hands of flippers or opportunists.

Rescuing orphaned mustang foals is a deeply moving but challenging mission. As someone who has volunteered with equine rescue initiatives, I've witnessed firsthand the vulnerability of these young horses, especially when separated from their mothers so early in life. These foals face immense challenges — from the trauma of losing their family to the critical need for specialized nutrition and medical attention to support their fragile development. One crucial aspect of their care involves ensuring they receive a milk replacer formula that closely mimics their mother's milk. This can require round-the-clock feedings and careful monitoring to prevent digestive issues. Additionally, transporting these foals to safe environments demands gentle handling and secure transport conditions to minimize stress and injury. Equally important is the vetting of potential adopters or rescue partners. Unfortunately, some foals fall into the hands of individuals looking to profit or treat them poorly. Ensuring these horses find compassionate and knowledgeable homes safeguards their wellbeing and offers them a real chance to thrive. Through fundraising, donor support, and spreading awareness across social platforms, the community can make a significant difference. Raising $1,500 per foal – covering purchase costs, medical treatment, milk replacers, and transportation – may seem daunting but is achievable when many contribute. Personally, sharing stories and updates about these foals' progress encourages empathy and collective action. Together, by joining the efforts to rescue and rehabilitate these innocent lives, we help break the cycle of exploitation and offer hope where it’s desperately needed.
