Raw Vegan Bread 🙈
Tested out Raw Chef Yin’s Bahn Mi Rolls and it was very interesting how she slowly adds water to the flour mix to add in air into the dough and almost a raw vegan way of “steaming” the bread in the dehydrator to allow the dough to rise.
Not a super fan of the flavors she used like the kala namak salt, but overall an interesting technique to create a more realistic raw vegan bread.
Now it’s time to test this technique even further👀
Raw vegan bread has gained popularity as an alternative to traditional bread, catering to those seeking healthier options. This technique not only retains nutrients but also introduces unique textures and flavors that are often missing from conventional baking. Using a dehydrator is key in this method, allowing for a unique 'steaming' effect that helps the dough rise without compromising its raw quality. The slow incorporation of water helps create air pockets, essential for achieving the lightness desired in bread. Experimenting with different spices and ingredients, such as kala namak salt, can further enhance flavor profiles and provide a more authentic experience. For those new to making raw bread, consider starting with simple ingredients and gradually incorporating more complex flavors. Resources like online forums and vegan baking communities can offer support, recipes, and tips for successful bread-making endeavors. Mastering raw vegan bread opens the door to innovative culinary experiences that can be both satisfying and health-conscious.
