Hobbii yarn haul!
I'm absolutely buzzing about my latest Hobbii yarn haul, and I just had to share some thoughts, especially since I grabbed some of that amazing Umami Tweed! For anyone who's been eyeing it, let me tell you, it lives up to the hype. I scored a stunning black Umami Tweed in this haul, and it’s even more gorgeous in person than online. What makes Umami Tweed so special? It's often a luxurious blend, combining soft merino wool with acrylic for durability and a touch of viscose for that lovely drape and subtle sheen. This combination gives it an incredible softness and a beautiful, flecked texture that really elevates any project. It truly feels indulgent against the skin, making it perfect for garments you want to wear close to your body – think cozy cardigans, stylish sweaters, or even super soft scarves. I’ve heard it blocks beautifully, too, which is always a bonus for achieving that perfect finished look. If you're looking for a yarn that has both elegance and a lovely drape, Umami Tweed is definitely one to consider. I'm already envisioning a classic black beanie with a touch of texture, or maybe a sophisticated shawl. It's truly a versatile yarn that feels indulgent without breaking the bank. Next up in my haul, and something I'm equally excited about, is the Rainbow Cotton 8/4! I always grab a few cakes of this whenever I place an order, and the multi-colored cakes are just irresistible. If you've never worked with it, Hobbii's Rainbow Cotton 8/4 is a wonderful, 100% cotton yarn that's perfect for so many projects. It's a fingering weight yarn, which means it’s ideal for lighter garments, delicate accessories, and especially anything for babies and children because it’s so soft and breathable. I personally love using Rainbow Cotton 8/4 for amigurumi – the stitch definition is fantastic! It also holds up really well for home decor items like dishcloths, coasters, or even a lightweight market bag. The color range is just incredible, from solids to those fun, self-striping 'rainbow' cakes that do all the color work for you. It’s durable, machine washable (always a plus!), and comes in such generous skeins. For this haul, I picked up some new multi-colored cakes that are just bursting with potential. I'm thinking of making a vibrant baby blanket or maybe some colorful summer tops. It’s truly a staple in my stash for warmer weather projects and gifts. Beyond these two stars, my Hobbii haul also included some other treasures! I grabbed a lovely dark green Acrylic XL, which is going to be perfect for some quick, chunky projects, perhaps a super cozy throw blanket for movie nights. And how cute is the light green Baby Cotton Print? That’s definitely earmarked for a sweet little baby gift. I even found a dark blue Umami, which I’m excited to compare to the Umami Tweed – I love trying out different textures and blends from the same family. And, of course, a fun Halloween Horizon yarn caught my eye for future seasonal crafting! One tip I always have for Hobbii hauls: don't be afraid to try their subscription boxes or look out for their sales. You can discover so many fantastic yarns and often get great deals. Unboxing a Hobbii package always feels like Christmas morning, and it’s so inspiring to see all the beautiful fibers laid out. Happy crafting, everyone, and I hope this gives you some ideas for your next yarn adventure!
