Make us excited and fun and remember them.
But I have to admit...
Many of the things in the movie don't match scientific truth.
Let's see that.
What's the matter with "additive" movies that we've always been wrong?
❌ 1) The dinosaurs roared loudly all the time.
In the movie
Dinosaurs often roared loudly.
Like having to announce himself every time he appears.
But in the truth,
Scientists believe
Dinosaurs may.
• Low noise
• Vibration
• Or quieter than you think.
A good hunter.
No need to make noise.
❌ 2) All dinosaurs, bald skin.
Movies often show dinosaurs.
Is a smooth-skinned animal.

There's hair covering the trunk.

Movies often make us believe

But in real nature,

May hunt more often and successfully.
❌ 4) Silly dinosaurs, scolding and using only power.
Leather often makes dinosaurs
Doesn't seem smart.
Relying on strength and instinct
But some groups of dinosaurs
It has a high brain-to-trunk ratio.
Close to today's birds.
They might.

• And a certain level of strategy.

In the movie
Hunters often hunt alone.
But footprint and fossil evidence

Probably hunted in groups.
Or join the herd at some point in life.

Movies often close the story too.

But the truth is,
Not all dinosaurs became extinct.
Birds today
Is a dinosaur alive.
❌ 7) The dinosaur age world is a battlefield all the time.
Movies often show the dinosaur-era world.
It's a place full of killings and chases.
But the truth
There was a world
• Peaceful period
• Parenting
• Normal livelihood
Like nature today
🧠 wrong movie... but it's worth it.
Even the movie isn't all right.
But it helps.
• Make people interested in dinosaurs
• Urge curiosity
• Open the door to scientific learning
The important thing is
Separate what is entertainment
And what is the truth?

จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่ชอบดูหนังไดโนเสาร์หลายเรื่อง จะเห็นได้ชัดว่าภาพยนตร์มักแสดงไดโนเสาร์อย่างไทแรนโนซอรัส เร็กซ์ ว่าเป็นสัตว์ที่ส่งเสียงคำรามดังกึกก้องและผิวหนังเกล็ดโล้น แต่ความจริงที่นักวิทยาศาสตร์ค้นพบกลับตรงกันข้าม ไดโนเสาร์อาจส่งเสียงต่ำ หรือติดต่อด้วยการสั่นสะเทือนมากกว่าที่คิด และอีกเรื่องที่น่าสนใจคือ ไดโนเสาร์ไม่ใช่สัตว์ที่โง่และใช้แต่พลังอย่างเดียว บางชนิดมีอัตราส่วนสมองต่อลำตัวสูง ใกล้เคียงนก สามารถเรียนรู้และวางกลยุทธ์ได้ด้วย มุมมองในภาพยนตร์ยังทำให้เราเชื่อว่าไดโนเสาร์ล่าเป็นตัวเดียวดิ่งใหญ่และโหดร้ายที่สุดเท่านั้น แต่จากหลักฐานฟอสซิลและรอยเท้าที่พบ นักล่าบางกลุ่มอาจล่าเป็นฝูง และความสำเร็จของการล่าขึ้นกับความแม่นยำและการปรับตัวไม่ใช่แค่ขนาด อีกทั้งภาพยนตร์มักปิดท้ายด้วยการบอกว่าไดโนเสาร์สูญพันธุ์หมดแล้ว แต่ที่จริง นกสมัยใหม่ถือเป็นทายาทของไดโนเสาร์ที่ยังมีชีวิตอยู่จนถึงปัจจุบัน สิ่งสำคัญที่ผมได้เรียนรู้คือ หนังอาจจะไม่ได้ถูกต้องในทุกจุด แต่เป็นตัวกระตุ้นที่ดีให้เราสนใจและอยากศึกษาวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์เพิ่มเติม โดยเฉพาะความหมายของคำว่า "ไดโนเสาร์" ที่ไม่ได้จำกัดเพียงสัตว์ยักษ์โล้นโฉดร้ายเท่านั้น แต่ยังรวมถึงสิ่งมีชีวิตที่ซับซ้อน มีวิวัฒนาการ และน่าค้นหามากมายบนโลกยุคโบราณ จึงอยากแนะนำให้ทุกคนเปิดใจ เรียนรู้และแยกแยะระหว่างความบันเทิงกับข้อเท็จจริงทางวิทยาศาสตร์จะดีที่สุด
