Check out my classics 😎

My classics collection is small but mighty! I have a set of Puffin in Bloom classics which includes Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, A Little Princess and Heidi! I was gifted me these last year for Christmas and I love them! I haven’t gotten to read all of them yet but one of my goals for 2024 is to read at least three classics. I’m aiming to read Little Women, Anne of Green Gables and then I’m not sure what my last one will be. I love the collectors editions of classics and I especially love the penguin clothbound classics. (Have you seen the girl who is rebinding all of her books to look like penguin clothbound classics? I think that might be the coolest book thing I have ever seen). My penguin clothbound classic collection just started this year and I have Alice in Wonderland and A Christmas Carol! I have never read either of these so I’m looking forward to when I pick them up.

Do you have a favorite classic book? I would love to know!

... Read moreClassic literature has a timeless appeal that resonates with many readers. Titles such as Louisa May Alcott's *Little Women*, published in 1868, capture themes of family and perseverance, making them beloved by generations. Similarly, *Anne of Green Gables*, written by L.M. Montgomery in 1908, introduces readers to the adventures of Anne Shirley, fostering a love for imagination and nature. Penguin Clothbound Classics are particularly popular among collectors due to their beautiful designs. Each book is not only a literary masterpiece but also an aesthetically pleasing addition to any bookshelf. For example, *A Christmas Carol* by Charles Dickens and *Alice's Adventures in Wonderland* by Lewis Carroll are both classics that have influenced culture and literature. Engaging with classic literature can enhance vocabulary, improve comprehension, and provide insights into the historical contexts of the times they were written. Classics often tackle universal themes like love, loss, identity, and social issues, making them relevant today. As you set reading goals for 2024, consider including these classics to deepen your literary experience. Sharing these discoveries with book clubs can enrich discussions and foster connections with fellow readers who share similar interests.
