What’s In my Pool Bag? 🏊♀️ ☀️
I learned the hard way that whatever is in your pool bag, or lack there of, can turn your fun afternoon in the sun into a stress fest 😳 Here’s what I always keep packed to ensure everyone’s sanity is up to par 🏖️
👙 Wet Bag: My city’s community center offers a locker room where you can shower and refresh after you’ve been in the pool. This is a mesh bag that I can put our wet swimsuits in to keep them separated from anything else that’s in the bag.
🌺 Small clutch bag: This is just a zip up wristlet bag that I use to hold our sunscreens, sunglasses, goggles, regular glasses, and a comb.
📱 Electronic Bag: Most of the stuff in a pool bag is replaceable, but there are a few lifelines you inevitably have to tote to the pool with you. I can wear this bag around my neck and it holds our phones, IDs, cash/debit cards, keys, and any other personal belongings I don’t trust left lying around in public.
🧦 Change of dry, comfortable clothes for everyone to change into before we leave.

One for each person avoids fights over who gets the soggy towel. One tip I picked up was adding a small first aid kit to the bag in case of minor scrapes or sunburn relief needs. Additionally, reusable water bottles keep everyone hydrated without the hassle of disposable cups. Overall, the key to a great pool day is preparation and organization. Having everything categorized and ready to reach, from wet bags to electronics and dry wear, means less time hunting for things and more time enjoying the sun and water.
