Strawberry Banana Bread Parfait 🍓🍌

I had to call off of work today because of severe nausea and pelvic pain, so this was the perfect slow morning, low effort breakfast.

✨ Cinnamon roll yogurt 🥮

✨ One sliced banana 🍌

✨ Strawberry-Mallo Granola Bites 🍓

✨ Honey 🍯

These ingredients made their way around the block before they found my bowl.

🛒 Kroger: Banana (66¢) + Yogurt (35¢ clearance)

🛒 Walmart: Honey ($5.74 for the bottle. You be the judge on how much 1 Tbsp costs)

🛒 Dollar Tree: Granola Bites ($1.50 for 4, about 38¢/pack)

This was such an easy, low prep dump-and-go breakfast for me. I love finding ways to turn rogue snacks into a more filling and satisfying meal 🤩However, you can definitely tell that the yogurt has 1g of sugar, and the bites have the aftertaste of dentist office bubble gum… in my opinion. Do with that information what you will 🤷‍♀️

... Read moreI love starting my day with a parfait that feels indulgent yet is low effort and budget-friendly. This strawberry banana bread parfait combines sweet and nutritious ingredients that are easy to find at common grocery stores like Kroger, Walmart, and Dollar Tree. From my experience, the cinnamon roll yogurt adds a unique flavor that pairs well with the natural sweetness of fresh bananas. The granola bites bring a nice crunch and some added fiber, although they do have a distinct aftertaste that reminded me slightly of bubble gum. Still, they’re a great way to sneak in some oats and seeds for energy that lasts through the morning. Using a tablespoon of honey sweetens the parfait naturally, giving it a pleasant, light finish. When I put it all together, it feels like a treat but costs less than $1.50, which is fantastic for those on a tight budget or anyone looking to save a bit without sacrificing flavor or nutrition. One thing to keep in mind: the yogurt in this parfait is low in sugar, which is great for avoiding an energy crash later in the day. Also, the parfait provides around 11.5 grams of protein and about 364 calories, making it a balanced option to keep you full. If you’re looking for a quick meal to whip up during a slow morning or a day when you’re not feeling your best, this parfait is my go-to. It takes just minutes to assemble and is versatil enough to customize: you can swap the cinnamon roll yogurt with plain Greek yogurt and use fresh granola or nuts if you prefer. It’s also perfect for meal prep—just layer it in a jar the night before for grab-and-go convenience. Overall, this recipe helps turn simple, affordable ingredients into a satisfying breakfast that feels special without extra effort or expense. I highly recommend trying this parfait when you want something nourishing but speedy. It’s a small comfort that makes a difference when you need it most.
