One tip I found invaluable is always injecting at a 90° angle. This helps avoid nicking tiny blood vessels that cause leakage under the skin and bruising. I also learned that rotating injection sites between the abdomen, thighs, and arms prevents repeated trauma in one area, allowing the skin to recover better. Another key factor is applying gentle pressure immediately after the injection. This simple step helps seal the punctured vessels and reduces bleeding under the skin. I also noticed that my technique improved by avoiding rapid or angled needle movements – steady and minimal needle movement decreases vessel damage. Supplements and medications can contribute too, such as blood thinners, NSAIDs, and fish oil. If you are using these, extra care with injection technique is crucial. Staying hydrated helps keep capillaries less fragile, further minimizing bruising. Using these adjustments alongside a mindful approach to injection can make a noticeable difference in how your skin looks and feels post-injection. Remember, bruising isn’t just luck – it’s largely about technique, and with practice, you can keep it minimal and manageable.
