Alimenta tu cuerpo, cuida tu vida
In my personal experience, paying attention to how you prepare and time your meals can significantly impact your overall health and energy levels throughout the day. For example, starting the morning with oats soaked overnight not only makes digestion easier but also provides sustained energy without a crash. Including seeds like pumpkin, sunflower, or sesame adds healthy fats and minerals that support brain function and skin health. At lunchtime, I find that combining proteins like grilled chicken or legumes with a generous portion of colorful vegetables and whole grains such as quinoa or brown rice helps keep me full and focused for the afternoon. Avoiding fried and overly processed foods at this meal promotes better digestion and nutrient absorption. Dinners are best kept lighter, focusing on easily digestible proteins like eggs prepared softly—such as poached or boiled—to maximize nutrient retention while reducing digestive load overnight. Including vegetables like zucchini or steamed broccoli enhances antioxidant intake without causing discomfort. I also like to add calming herbs such as chamomile or a spoonful of honey for soothing effects. Interestingly, the way eggs are cooked plays a big role in nutrient bioavailability. Eggs boiled gently (soft-boiled or medium) maintain a better balance of protein digestibility and nutrient retention compared to frying, which may reduce protein quality and add unnecessary fats. Moreover, I incorporate functional foods like turmeric and garlic occasionally for their anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. These foods not only enrich the flavor but also contribute to long-term health. Mindful eating and regular meal patterns have made a tangible difference in my energy levels, digestion, and sleep quality. Remember, feeding your body well is a daily act of gratitude and self-care that honors the life we have been given.
