Valkyrie kanal #r6 #r6siege #rainbowsixsiege #schizosiege #rainbow6siege
Hey R6 fam! Who else misses the good old days of playing on the original Kanal map? I know I do! It was such a unique map, and honestly, Valkyrie felt like she was made for it. I wanted to share some of my absolute favorite Valkyrie camera spots and strategies that used to turn the tide in so many rounds, especially when defending the basement or Coast Guard sites. One of my go-to spots was always near the B1 Supply Room Corridor, usually tucked away where it could overlook rotations but still be hard for attackers to pre-fire. You know, the spot where everyone felt safe but you could still catch them pushing towards the site? Another golden placement was often around the B1 Diving Room, especially if we were defending the basement bomb site. A well-placed camera here could watch the main push from the docks side and give crucial early warning. I'd often throw a camera outside near the Yellow Stairs too, just to catch those sneaky attackers trying to flank or rappel up. Getting early intel on their push routes was key. For the 1F Coast Guard Meeting Room, I'd usually place a camera inside, aiming towards the main entrance and the stairs. This let me call out pushes and even coordinate a cheeky nitrocell throw from below if they started planting. And let's not forget the hatches! Watching key hatches with a camera, like the one leading into the basement, was a game-changer. It allowed us to deny secure entries and sometimes even catch an unsuspecting attacker rappelling down. I remember one time, using a camera near a hatch, I saw a Montagne about to drop, called it out, and my teammate got a free kill. Such satisfaction! Valkyrie's cameras weren't just for static intel; they were perfect for dynamic plays. If I saw attackers grouping up for a push, I’d often make a call for a runout from a safe angle. Her cameras also helped identify where to throw a nitrocell most effectively, whether it was to cut off a plant or deny an entry. For example, if I saw them trying to push through the main entrance of Coast Guard, I could often coordinate a nitrocell from the floor below or a teammate could swing knowing exactly where the threat was. Honestly, playing Valkyrie on old Kanal taught me so much about intel gathering and map control. It wasn't just about throwing cameras; it was about understanding the flow of the map, predicting attacker movements, and using those cameras to create opportunities for my team. The map felt so different back then, and mastering Valkyrie on it felt incredibly rewarding. These tips aren't just for nostalgia; they highlight the evergreen principles of intel in R6 Siege. Hope this brings back some good memories and maybe even inspires you to re-watch some old Kanal gameplay!
