I finally beat Ranrok!

Hey fellow witches and wizards! I know many of you are probably still battling through the incredible world of Hogwarts Legacy, and if you're anything like me, you might be dreading or currently struggling with the final boss: Ranrok! I just wanted to share my personal experience and the strategy that finally helped me defeat him, especially that tricky dragon phase. First off, make sure you're well-prepared. Before even thinking about facing the Final Boss in Hogwarts Legacy, I made sure my gear was maxed out with useful traits, especially anything that boosted spell damage or reduced damage taken. Potions are your best friend here! I stocked up on Wiggenweld Potion for healing (obviously!), but also Focus Potions to reduce spell cooldowns and Maxima Potions for an extra damage boost. Don't forget your potent combat plants like Chinese Chomping Cabbages and Mandrakes – they can really turn the tide, especially when you're overwhelmed. The fight itself has a few distinct phases. Initially, Ranrok will be on foot, surrounded by his loyal goblins. My main strategy here was to clear out the smaller enemies first. Controlling the crowd with spells like Arresto Momentum or Glacius, then following up with Confringo or Incendio, worked wonders. For Ranrok himself, focus on breaking his shields with the correct color-matched spells (Purple for Force, Yellow for Control, Red for Damage). Don't forget to use your Ancient Magic – save it for when his health bar is significant, or when you need a quick burst of damage to break a tough shield. Dodging is crucial; his attacks are powerful but predictable once you learn their patterns. Then comes the Ranrok dragon phase, which is where things really ramp up! This is where many players, including myself, initially got stuck. The key here is not to focus directly on Ranrok, but on the dragon he's riding. The dragon has specific glowing weak points that appear. I found that hitting these weak points with my most powerful damage spells, like Confringo and Expelliarmus (if upgraded), was the fastest way to bring it down. The dragon's fire attacks are devastating, so always be on the move. Use your Protego and particularly your perfect Protego to deflect projectiles back at him, often creating openings. If you see it charging up a large fire breath, prioritize dodging or finding cover immediately. Don't be afraid to use your Ancient Magic on the dragon's weak points when they are exposed – it melts its health bar. Once the dragon is defeated, Ranrok becomes even more aggressive. He'll throw a wider variety of spells at you, and his shields will regenerate faster. Keep up the same strategy of matching spell colors to break his shields, and always be ready to dodge. This final stretch is all about patience and execution. Don't get greedy with attacks; prioritize survival and breaking his defenses. When you get a chance, unleash your combos and Ancient Magic. It felt so good to finally beat Ranrok! It was a truly epic encounter and a fitting end to the main story of Hogwarts Legacy. I hope these tips help you conquer the Final Boss too.
