Let’s open this football pack!
Kept the final Donruss football pack for today. It’s also thicker then the others in the box so let’s see why.
It’s thick before of Tai Felton Phenom card with a patch. I like it! Also got a pink optic of ROY Panthers McMillan and a red optic of Bills rookie Sanders. Even got a bomb squad card of Brock Purdy. What a great pack!
Opening football card packs is one of the most exciting experiences for collectors, especially when you get a thicker pack like this Donruss one. The added thickness often means there's a premium or special insert card included, which raises the anticipation with every pack. In this case, pulling the Tai Felton Phenom card with a patch is a fantastic highlight. Patch cards are sought-after because they include actual pieces of a player's jersey, making them more valuable and unique than regular cards. It’s also great to see a pink optic Jalen McMillan card, recognizing his Rookie of the Year status with the Panthers. Optic cards are popular for their shiny, premium finish and vibrant colors, which appeal to collectors who value aesthetics as well as rarity. The red optic card of the Bills rookie Sanders adds another layer of excitement. Rookie cards often have long-term value if the player performs well, so having a colored optic variant is a desirable find. Finally, the Bomb Squad card of Brock Purdy adds a fun, dynamic element to the pack—a reminder of the team-based special edition cards that add variety to collections. As a collector, I find that these special inserts and variants not only provide thrills when opening a pack, but they also enrich my collection with diverse and rare items. Each card tells a story—whether it’s a rookie on the rise or a star with a unique patch—and that’s what keeps me coming back for more. For those new to football card collecting, focusing on packs known to include these high-value inserts can maximize the enjoyment and long-term investment potential of your hobby.
