Coming back to this post after 18-ish days on here to talk a little more about noplace!
I downloaded it maybe a month ago after seeing ads on TikTok and have posted nearly every day since then. And I love it!
It feels like one big group chat, which can be pretty cool once you’ve found the right people :3
The good:
- cute custom profiles
- no pictures, only text
- only your most recent 10 posts are shown on your profile
- boosts (likes) are anonymous and basically unlimited! so instead of 1 ❤️ from 1 person, it could be 1k ❤️ from 1 person who just really liked your post
The bad:
- there have been bugs, but they tend to get fixed pretty quickly!
- the main feed is chronological, not by boosts or an algorithm, so it’s really a gamble on what you’ll get. Which can be fun, but sometimes it misses
Overall I think the app has a lot of potential and I’m excited to see what new features they might add over time!
And speaking of new features, as you level up (based on boosts), more features are unlocked. The features are kept hidden, which is really good motivation to try and level up. I wanna know what the features are!
You don’t even really have to try to level up - just keep talking! Eventually you’ll find people who your posts resonate with and vice versa :)
