Help me find my season?

Hi everyone! Maybe you can help me…. I can’t for the life of me figure out my season! My mom says I’m cool toned, my sister says I’m warm toned, my last hairstylist said I’m cool-leaning neutral and my current hair stylist says it doesn’t matter 🥴

All of the pictures here are in different natural lighting and my natural hair color with no makeup EXCEPT the last 2 pictures. The second to last picture my hair is dyed a cooler ashy beige and I’m wearing Revlons Rum Raisin lipstick and Nyx Buttermelt Bronzer (I think the shade is All Butta’d Up). The last picture is indoors - I’ve got more of a gingery haircolor and am wearing Nyx Free Spirit and a brown eyeshadow☀️

If it helps, my top 3 fav lipsticks are Revlon Rum Raisin, Nyx Free Spirit, and Clinique Black Honey. Lately I’ve been wearing just bronzer, but when I do use blush I reach for Glossier Cloud Paint in Puff ☁️

Can you please let me know what you think? 🥺

... Read moreHey everyone! It's so tricky trying to pinpoint your exact color season, isn't it? I totally get what the original poster is going through – with so many conflicting opinions, it feels like a never-ending quest to figure out if you're a cool winter or a warm spring! That's why I wanted to chime in with some extra tips and tools that many of us in the color analysis community have found super helpful, especially when you're caught between a "cool-leaning neutral" and "doesn't matter" stylist! One of the biggest game-changers for me has been diving into digital color analysis tools. Have you ever explored apps like the Vivaldi Color Lab App or even Photo Lab App? While they might not give you a definitive answer every single time, they can offer some really interesting insights into your undertone. Many of these apps let you upload a photo (ideally with no makeup, just like the original poster shared!) and then they'll analyze your skin, hair, and eye color. Some even have features where you can virtually drape different colors or test out gold undertone vs. silver undertone comparisons, similar to what the app screenshots showed. It’s a great way to get a quick visual of how different shades react with your complexion, potentially highlighting if you lean towards pink undertone face or something warmer. Beyond dedicated color analysis apps, the color analysis TikTok trend has been a goldmine for understanding the basics. There are countless videos showing people doing DIY drapes with fabric, or explaining the difference between warm, cool, and neutral undertones. It’s really helped me understand what to look for when I’m trying to decide if certain colors wash me out or make me glow. Sometimes just seeing how a peach undertone or a silver undertone looks on various skin tones can give you that 'aha!' moment. When I'm trying to figure out my own season or help a friend, I always recommend looking at your veins in natural light. Blue or purple veins usually suggest cool undertones, while green veins often point to warm undertones. If you see a mix, or can't quite tell, you might be neutral. Also, think about how you tan – do you burn easily and then tan, or go straight to a golden tan? These little clues, combined with what Vivaldi Color Season methodologies suggest, can really add up. Ultimately, these tools and tips are fantastic starting points. They give you a framework to work with, but nothing beats getting input from others or learning to trust your own eye. Just like the original poster is doing by sharing their diverse photos and favorite makeup items (hello, Revlon Rum Raisin and Clinique Black Honey! Both classics!), gathering real-world feedback is invaluable. Keep experimenting with different colors in your wardrobe and makeup, and pay attention to how you feel and how others react. It's a journey, not a destination, but with these resources, you'll definitely get closer to finding your perfect palette!
