Wow, what an incredible weekend I just had at Missouri Comic Con! If you're a fan of pop culture, superheroes, sci-fi, or just looking for a unique and vibrant experience, you absolutely have to check it out. I've always loved the energy of conventions, and this one truly delivered on all fronts. From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was buzzing. One of the first things that caught my eye was an actual Ghostbusters car – it was so cool to see up close, definitely a photo op highlight! Walking through the halls, I was constantly amazed by the creativity of fellow attendees. The cosplay was out of this world; people put so much effort into their costumes, from intricate superhero suits to beloved anime characters. It's such a joy to see everyone expressing their passions. This year's guest list was fantastic too. It’s always surreal to see the talent behind some of our favorite characters and stories. I heard so much buzz around guests like Jodi Benson and Lou Diamond Phillips, and it's incredible how these cons bring us closer to the stars we admire. Even seeing flyers for other events, like Arkansas Comic Con with guests like Bonnie Wright and Jake Roberts, or the Missouri Anime Festival featuring Dameon Clarke, just goes to show how much is happening in the region for fans. It definitely got me thinking about my next con adventure, maybe even the Missouri Fest 2025 Expo! For anyone thinking about attending a comic con, especially if it's your first time or you're looking to make the most of it, I've picked up a few tips from my recent experience: Plan Ahead: Check the guest schedule, panel times, and vendor lists beforehand. Some guests have specific autograph or photo op times, and popular panels fill up fast. Knowing what you want to see ensures you don't miss out! Comfort is Key: You'll be doing a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. A small backpack for essentials like a water bottle, snacks, and a portable charger for your phone is a lifesaver. Budget Wisely: It's easy to get carried away in the vendor hall! Set a budget for merchandise, artist alley finds, and food before you go. There are so many unique items, from indie comics to custom art, that you'll want to take home. Embrace the Experience: Don't be shy! Talk to cosplayers (always ask for a photo first!), chat with vendors, and engage with other fans. Everyone is there for the same reason – to celebrate their passions. Stay Hydrated & Fueled: Con days are long. Make sure to take breaks, grab some food, and drink plenty of water to keep your energy up. My Missouri Comic Con experience was truly unforgettable. It’s more than just an event; it’s a community gathering where you can immerse yourself in worlds you love and connect with fellow enthusiasts. I left feeling inspired and already looking forward to the next one!
