Do you use powder or cream blush?

I am really new to makeup and in the process of buying some but idk if cream or powder is best, so if you guys could share your experience, that would be really helpfull!

rn I only use cream concealer as kind of a foundation, and I read somewhere that I should buy cream blush as well but i'm scared it wil smudge.

... Read moreWhen it comes to selecting the right blush for your makeup routine, understanding the differences between powder and cream blush is essential. Each formulation has its benefits and specific use cases. Powder blush is typically more forgiving for layering, making it easier to build intensity without overdoing it. It's also great for those with oily skin, as it helps to absorb excess oil throughout the day. This type of blush tends to sit on top of the skin, delivering a matte finish that’s ideal for more polished looks. Popular brands like e.l.f and COVERGIRL offer a variety of shades that can fit every skin tone and occasion. On the other hand, cream blush provides a natural, dewy finish that blends seamlessly into the skin, creating a more youthful appearance. If you have dry or normal skin, cream blush can add hydration and vitality to your makeup look. However, it may require a light touch to avoid smudging, especially if you're new to makeup. Tips for applying cream blush include using your fingers or a damp beauty sponge to tap the product onto your cheeks, which ensures a more controlled application. Ultimately, the choice between powder and cream blush comes down to personal preference and skin type. Consider experimenting with both to see which one you prefer, and don’t hesitate to reach out to makeup communities online for shared experiences and tips. Happy makeup adventures!

I usually use powder. I have the rare beauty blush but find it too pigmented and messy. I use the rare beauty powder blush which works great and totally recommend! I also use the milk jelly blush in a lighter shade, but don’t know if I count that as liquid or powder!
