Why do some married ppl not wear wedding rings?
I work in a small office. Lately, something’s been bugging me, half the married people here never wear wedding rings. Take my teammate, she’s been married 5 years, posts her husband on Instagram all the time, but I’ve never seen a band on her finger. Same with another coworker from accounting, he talks about their married life but no ring.
Last week, it got even weirder. At the company charity gala, I was chatting with my teammate, and her husband showed up also no ring! I didn’t wanna be rude, so I didn’t ask, but I kept thinking that isn’t a wedding ring like the “I’m taken” sign?
Maybe some jobs make rings annoying, but still most of us here sit at desks. Do they just forget? Or try to hide it?

I cant speak for office life, but working in healthcare I don’t wear mine because its an infection control issue, they rip gloves and since I work with people with cognitive decline they sometimes accuse us of stealing things so best to skip it or just wear a band.
