windowless seat via SQ

ever wondered what it’s like to be seated in a windowless seat? 💺

Ticket: $458.60

Flight there: 11:45am – 4:40pm

Flight back: 5:35pm – 10:20pm

✧ honestly, not too bad… you still get about 1/3 of a window view

✧ perfect for those who love leaning against the window to sleep without worrying about the sunlight waking you up

✧ coincidentally ordered fish for both flights (it’s my safe choice) its usually damn soft and taste even better inflight

✧ much preferred the meal on the flight there — more filling and everything went well together

ice milo on a flight just hits different 🤤

✧ 10/10 would choose a windowless seat again

... Read moreChoosing a windowless seat on Singapore Airlines might sound unusual, but based on my journey, it offers perks that frequent flyers might appreciate. Even though the seat doesn’t offer a direct window, you still catch around one-third to half of a window view from nearby, helping you feel less confined. For those who love to sleep leaning against a window but dislike being woken up by sunlight, this type of seat is a perfect compromise. You get the comforting lean without the glare. On both my flights to and from Taipei, I found the seat cozy enough for resting despite the lack of a full window. Meal options also stood out during this trip. I tend to pick fish dishes inflight because they’re usually tender and satisfying, and Singapore Airlines didn’t disappoint. The meal on the flight to Taipei was especially filling and well-balanced, complemented perfectly by an ice Milo—a drink that truly hits differently at 30,000 feet. On the return flight, the black pepper duck breast provided a nice change, paired with a classic Singapore Sling, elevating the dining experience. It’s worth noting the airline’s attention to detail, such as the safety notices about stowing items under the monitor during taxi, takeoff, and landing, ensuring a safe journey. Although the windowless seat limits typical window-seat storage, the crew’s service and the thoughtful inflight catering made the experience delightful. Based on my experience, selecting a windowless seat can be a surprisingly pleasant choice on Singapore Airlines, especially if you prioritize sleep, less disturbance from sunlight, and quality meal service. I’d definitely choose it again for future flights.
