Star Wars Quilt
I’ve been wanting to make this quilt for awhile now & finally decided to get started. It’s a gift for a friend &
it’s going to be a little late for Christmas.
I recently joined The Quilt Hive at The Crafty Nomad, I gifted myself a subscription for 2025. There are at
present 40 classes that I have access to and there will be more as the months go by.
Class #1 is Cutting For Accuracy. We all know how to cut fabric with our rotary cutters, rulers & scissors right?!
I’ve learned something new that I think will greatly improve my quilt blocks. Basically how to use my ruler properly.
The first block is actually the size it’s supposed to be & it looks like when I QAYG and add sashings I won’t lose my points. I’m excited!!
I will add, this hasn’t been easy for me. I’ve recut some of my fabric because I could see it was obviously off.
With every new skill it will take practice to master and I’m determined.
There is a project that comes with this class to make a zipper pouch too. I have it mostly cut out and need to
continue on to Class #2 Precision Piecing. I’ll share it when I’m finished. Zipper pouches have been hard for me.
