This last trip was no different, and I wanted to share some of my go-to items across different departments that make my shopping trips so worthwhile! First up, the bakery! Oh my goodness, where do I even start? Their muffins are legendary, but honestly, I can't resist their chocolate chip cookies. They're perfect for a treat or to share when friends come over. I also love grabbing their artisan bread, which freezes beautifully if you don't eat it all at once. It's such a lifesaver for last-minute dinners! Next, I always make a beeline for fresh produce. I find their organic fruit and vegetable selection to be fantastic value. Berries, especially, are usually cheaper and fresher than anywhere else. I stock up on things like spinach, bell peppers, and apples – great for meal prepping throughout the week. Just remember to eat them quickly or freeze some for smoothies! The dairy section is another must-visit for me. I usually grab a couple of gallons of organic milk and their big tubs of Greek yogurt. Their cheese selection is surprisingly gourmet for bulk pricing too! I often pick up a large block of cheddar or mozzarella, which lasts ages and is perfect for cooking. And if you’re a fan of specialty cheeses, keep an eye out for their rotating selections. For protein, I always check out the frozen meats. This is where I save a ton! I typically buy their huge bags of chicken breasts or salmon fillets. They’re individually wrapped, making it super easy to take out just what you need without thawing the whole lot. It’s perfect for planning meals ahead and ensures I always have healthy options on hand. Then there are the pantry staples. This is where Costco truly shines for bulk buying. I always pick up huge bags of organic pasta, olive oil, and coffee beans. Their Kirkland Signature brand often rivals premium brands in quality but at a fraction of the price. Don't forget household essentials like paper towels and cleaning supplies here too – they last forever! Finally, I never leave without checking the personal care aisle. I've found some fantastic deals on my favorite shampoos, conditioners, and even skincare products. It’s amazing how much you can save by buying these items in larger quantities. Plus, it means fewer trips to the store! As for grocery delivery, while Costco does offer it, I personally prefer going in-store. I love the experience of browsing, discovering new items, and, let's be honest, getting to sample all the delicious things! However, for those busy weeks, it's definitely a convenient option worth considering, especially for heavy items. Overall, my Costco trips are about smart shopping and stocking up on quality items that my family uses regularly. It’s not just about saving money; it’s about making my life a little easier too!
