First video in a long time and I'm anxious! 🫣

I told myself that I was going to start back up with YouTube so I did. For me, I find that first step is always the hardest... and then that second step...letting your creation suck just because you know that sometimes making awful art is just the first step in making better art...

Well... that second step sucks too.

But my video is up, and honestly, I think I did an okay job with it. I'm looking forward to making the next one... now if I could only get myself to stop refreshing this first one!

... Read moreCreating content for platforms like YouTube can be a daunting task, especially after taking a break. Many content creators face anxiety when they're ready to share their work, fearing judgment or a lack of views. This feeling is common, and it's essential to acknowledge it. Remember, the first video is just a stepping stone; each piece of content you create becomes part of your journey towards improvement. Embracing imperfections is crucial; everyone starts somewhere, and growth comes from experience. Engaging with your audience, regardless of size, is vital. Small beginnings often lead to significant outcomes over time. Interacting with viewers through comments, asking for feedback, and being open about your journey can foster a community that resonates with your content. Moreover, consistency plays a pivotal role in content creation. Regular uploads help improve your skills and build an audience. Consider setting achievable goals, like a content schedule or a specific number of videos to create. This structure not only helps you stay motivated but also allows viewers to anticipate your work. YouTube collaboration with other creators can also stimulate growth. Collaborating exposes you to new audiences and provides fresh perspectives on content. Always remember, you're not alone in this journey; many creators share similar anxieties. Joining online forums or local creator meetups can provide support and encouragement. So, push through the anxiety, enjoy the process, and celebrate every video you create!

Avoidant vs. Anxious — and the pain no one talks
🤍 One shuts down to feel safe. 🖤 The other clings to feel close. Both end up hurting. Both feel alone. One hides under the umbrella of silence. The other waits in the rain of overthinking. You try to talk — they shut down. You feel invisible — they feel overwhelmed. You just want connection…

why you should journal when you’re anxious
journaling helps stop our thoughts from spiraling out of control. The act of writing down our thoughts, fears, worry, pain, grief etc. slows down our mind and helps us regain control. journaling is a safe space with no judgement to express your concerns and emotions. The next time you’re spi
