This Chapter starts off saying, that King Saul had a meeting with all his servants and his son, Jonathan, to make a plan on how to kill David. But, Jonathan delighted very much in David, so he told David that his father, King Saul, was trying to kill him, and that he should stay on high alert until the morning, also find a secret place that he may hide himself and abide there. Then Jonathan told David that he will go out with his father in the field where David is hiding and commune with his father. After this he would came back to tell David not only what his father said but what he sees as well. And when day came, Jonathan only spoken good things of David and his works to his father, King Saul. Then, Jonathan reminded his father what David did to the Philistines, Goliath, and how The Lord wrought a great salvation, victory, for all of Israel, where his father did see and rejoiced of. At the end , Jonathan ask his father why spill innocent blood, David's blood, without a cause? Then Saul hearkened to the voice of his son and sware saying " As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain." After communing with his father, Jonathan went and called for David and told him everything. Then, Jonathan brought David to King Saul and David went back to doing his same duties as before this event. ( 1 Samuel 19:1-7 )
