Consume less create more✨
I took a break recently to focus on getting back to my creative self. I noticed that a lot of my creativity was going down the drain, because I was glued to my phone and everything on social media. I’ve started taking long chunks of hours where I act like I don’t even have a phone or that I just wanna be in the moment about everything.
It’s really helped me feel less judgmental towards myself!
I’ll use my phone to capture what I want to remember instead of living through my phone 😌

In an age dominated by smartphones and social media, finding ways to reconnect with our creative selves is essential. Many individuals experience a decline in creativity, often due to constant distractions and the overwhelming influx of curated content. By intentionally taking breaks from digital devices, you can give your mind the space it needs to wander freely and generate new ideas. Consider setting aside dedicated blocks of time where you disconnect from technology. Use this time to engage in activities that fuel your passion, such as painting, writing, or simply enjoying nature. Embracing moments of stillness allows for self-reflection, leading to a more profound sense of creativity. In addition, you can capture inspirations during your screen-free time with a notebook or camera, cultivating a habit of mindfulness that bridges your creative thoughts with reality. Remember, quality experiences often stem from being present in the moment rather than through a digital lens. Prioritizing creativity over consumption can ultimately lead to more satisfying and fulfilling artistic expressions.

Sounds like a plan.
