👰🏼♀️Bride didn’t like what I wore to the wedding
She told me to wear this color and whatever style but I found out she didn’t have nice things to say. Did I mess up? Was it too much? :(

If this dress upstages the bride then… idk maybe there’s something going wrong. Beautiful dress, but I don’t see how it could upstage a wedding dress if that’s the case….

This probably won’t be a popular answer but I’m going to type it anyway. You asked her what color to wear and she told you. You asked her if it should be a particular style, her response was not specific. If she wanted you to look horrible she had two options: option 1 was to pick out and purchase the dress she thought you looked the worst in or option 2 was not to invite you to her wedding. Every woman wants to look and feel beautiful, and rightly so. This woman is already marrying the man of her dreams (I hope), so therefore it shouldn’t have mattered that the dress you chose for yourself and purchased made you look flattering and made you stand out to others. If her new husband was the one doing the admiring, then obviously she wasted the day marrying the wrong man. Never allow anyone to dim your light or make you feel bad for wanting to look, feel, and be your best; no matter what the occasion, celebration, or situation. You look absolutely beautiful in the dress you chose and I hope you had a fabulous time. A true friend is neither jealous nor envious. Instead they encourage you to be the best you that you can be. For anyone that doesn’t agree, truth be I don’t care. I’ve said what I’ve said and I mean it.
