"I've been thinking about something"

We spend so much of life asking, "Who am I becoming?"

It's a beautiful question. But lately, another question has been quietly sitting with me.

What does life look like when you're no longer trying to become someone else, and you're simply learning to faithfully live as the woman God has been shaping all along?

I don't have every answer.

Maybe that's why I created Seasons of Hérr.

Not to hand out quick solutions. But to make room for conversations like this.

Conversations that don't have to be rushed.

Conversations that invite us to pause, and notice what God may already be doing within us.

I'm still sitting with this.

Maybe you will too.

... Read moreIn my personal journey of faith and self-reflection, I've found that the question, 'Who am I becoming?' often dominates our thoughts and decisions. However, shifting focus to who we already are and recognizing the work God is doing within us has brought a deep sense of peace and purpose. This perspective encourages slowing down, refusing to rush through life’s moments just to fit a mold or meet expectations. Instead, it invites us to engage in patient, honest conversations—both with others and ourselves—about our true identity and spiritual development. It’s through these deliberate pauses that I’ve realized growth is not about hurried transformation but faithful living. Seasons of Hérr, as created by the author, symbolizes these different phases or 'seasons' in life where God’s shaping process unfolds uniquely. Embracing each season with openness helps me to trust the journey rather than resist it. It’s in this space that I find authentic strength and clarity about my purpose. From my own experience, when we stop striving to become someone else, and instead honor the woman God has been forming, life feels richer and more fulfilling. It’s a continual process—sometimes uncomfortable, often beautiful—that invites us to listen closely and respond with faith. I encourage anyone reflecting on their identity or spiritual path to consider this approach: less about chasing an ideal self, and more about embracing the ongoing work within, trusting that God’s shaping is purposeful and good. Such mindful surrender can transform how we see ourselves and how we engage with the world around us.
