Perfume Blind Buy: Hit or Miss?

Usually when I buy perfumes,

I start with the notes.

I like to know it will suit me.

But sometimes I still blind buy,

just to leave room for a little surprise.

I bought this at the beginning of autumn.

I was looking for something deeper for colder days.

The bottle caught my eye first,

that mossy green felt very autumn already.

Luckily the scent matched it.

Dry woods, herbs, a classic masculine structure.

It turned out to be perfect for fall and winter.

✘Miss: Kinfolk Captain’s Bar

This one was actually a gift.

A friend bought it for me while traveling.

Warm woods, a little spice, slightly boozy.

Not a bad scent at all,

just not something I naturally reach for.

Sometimes a fragrance can be good,

but still not quite yours.
