How I styled my coffee table
There’s definitely an art to styling coffee tables. You don’t want it to seem too cluttered or too sparse and you have to take into account the shape of the table.
Since mine is rectangular, I decided to add items on either side to create symmetry. I love adding trays to my coffee table to easily corral items while still making them seem organized and intentional.
Coffee table books are also a must, you can highlight your interests such as photography, birds, travel, or floral arranging while adding a layered look.

Creating a beautifully styled coffee table can elevate any living space. Start by selecting a theme that resonates with your personal taste—whether it’s minimalist, bohemian, or contemporary. Incorporate a variety of textures and heights to add visual interest. For example, layer items like candles, decorative objects, and books to create depth. Don’t forget to use trays as functional decor pieces to group smaller items, making it easier to maintain order. In addition, consider seasonal decor touches—changing out items can keep your coffee table looking fresh. Think about incorporating seasonal flowers or themed decor for holidays. Another tip is to ensure that the items you choose are meaningful, as this will not only tell your story but also make your space feel more inviting. Lastly, be sure to leave some space clear to maintain a sense of openness and invite conversation. Happy styling!
