Soft & neutral color pairings in my apartment
I’ve really been trying to add more color into my space lately, and I’ve come up with a few unexpected color combos that I think actually work well together:
-pink and blue are usually on opposite sides of the spectrum but I’ve brought them together in my space
-yellow and blue - yellow doesn’t usually make an appearance in a lot of homes. Even though blue and yellow are unexpected, I feel like they compliment each other really well

Incorporating soft and neutral color pairings in your apartment can be a game changer for your overall aesthetic. Color theory suggests that certain colors evoke particular feelings; for instance, pink and blue can create a calming yet vibrant atmosphere when combined. Experimenting with these colors in textiles, such as rugs and bedding, can enhance the ambience of your living space. Yellow, often overlooked in home design, can add a joyful pop of brightness that complements the cooler tones of blue. When choosing colors, remember to consider the lighting in your apartment, as natural and artificial light can drastically alter how colors appear. Creating contrast between your furnishings and the wall color can also help highlight unique decor elements. Don't forget to incorporate different textures, like plush fabrics for cushions or woven materials for rugs, as these can add depth to your color palette. This multi-dimensional approach will help your apartment feel more curated and cohesive. Explore the vast possibilities with color combinations and make your home a reflection of your personality.
