I’ve been using my credit cards like crazy. Last year, I bought my VIP EDC ticket and was so excited about it—it was going to be my first EDC! I really do love raves and dancing, especially with how overwhelming life can be. I’m not going to blame work or being a single mom. Sometimes, I just spend more than I make—whether it’s on groceries or weekend outings with my son.
No regrets though. Last minute, I ended up selling my ticket for a few reasonable reasons and was able to pay off almost all of my cards. Right now, I only have $2K left on them. I hope to keep it that way and pay them off completely soon 🙌🙌🙌
Navigating the world of personal finance can be daunting, especially for single parents. Managing credit card debt is an essential skill, influencing both short-term enjoyment and long-term stability. Learning to budget effectively is crucial. It's important to understand the difference between wants and needs: while attending events like EDC can be exhilarating, financial priorities must come first. One practical strategy involves setting a monthly budget. Track expenses meticulously across all categories—groceries, entertainment, and bills. Allocating a specific amount for discretionary spending can help prevent overspending. Another valuable tip is considering alternatives for costly outings, such as hosting events at home or seeking community activities. Additionally, utilizing cashback rewards and making timely payments can significantly enhance one's financial situation. High-interest debts should be prioritized for repayment to minimize costly interest fees. Embracing these practices can lead to a more rewarding lifestyle without the burden of overwhelming debt. By focusing on financial literacy, single parents can ensure a brighter future for themselves and their children.

Paying off debt is a huge accomplishment! Great job prioritizing your finances. What's your next financial goal?
